A downloadable horror game for Windows

Description:

You're a murder scene investigator responding to a call. Thinking that the murderer might still be on the premises, you bring along an armed officer, but do you believe it to be just a simple murder? Or could it be something more sinister?

Your backup goes missing and the building is quiet... too quiet... Disquiet.

Development Notes:

The game is a concept for a horror game based on murder scene investigation. Many things can be considered unclear or not explained well enough.

For example, batteries are not collected, but rather simply recharges your flashlight (this feature only exists in this concept build of the game).

This game was made as a first-year college game design project. Keep that in mind when playing as Disquiet can be seen as an amateur game regardless of its release status.

Notes for the Curious:

There are MANY parts of the game that you will most likely miss. One example of this is that looking through the first security camera after going up the stairs will give you chills.

There is one easter egg in the game. Not a pop-culture reference, but an easter egg nonetheless. We'll let you find it.

Spoiler Warning!!!

There are 10 pieces of evidence to find:

A flashlight, a phone, a bloody cleaver, a photo of a dead body, a revolver, a video camera, a photo of a Ouiji board, a photo of a door that has been knocked down, a spirit box and a foto of a handprint.

Good luck.

Install instructions

How to Download and Install Disquiet:

1. Find the black download button and click it. This will direct you to Google Drive.

2. On Google Drive, either click the blue "Download" button in the middle of the screen or the small download icon at the top right of the screen.

3. Locate the downloaded file (usually in your "Downloads" folder).

4. Right-click the .zip file and select "Extract All" (or use winRaR if you have it installed)

5. In the extracted folder, run the Disquiet executable (the red 'D').

5.1. Some computers will show a message saying that the program may cause problems. This is simply windows defender not recognizing the game as a trusted program, because it doesn't originate from a platform such as Steam or Epic Games. If you're comfortable enough with it, select the "more..." or "more information..." option and then the "Run anyway" option.

I have no idea why, but this game scared me good! Really cool ideas and great voice acting! I know it's just a concept game but I believe this could be a really awesome game if it moved away from the stock assets and all that.

This is creepy game alright but can not find the way to win this game. Overall creepy is better

I was not expecting a video response, but that would be extremely helpful, thank you. Please be as brutal as you can, the more brutal you can be about it, the better understanding I can get of what is wrong.

Thank you for playtesting.
